Folio (305 x 202 mm). Rogers' device on title-page, head-piece and decorated initial, tipped in errata slip. (Some very pale spotting.) Publisher's green boards (some very light chipping to spine ends); original plain dust-jacket (some very light chipping to spine ends); red cloth slip-case. LIMITED EDITION, one of 135 unnumbered copies. PRESENTATION COPY SIGNED BY BRUCE ROGERS. This eight-page pamphlet includes the FIRST APPEARANCE of Rogers' Centaur type, complete in upper and lower case, which he designed for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. RARE: According to American Book Prices Current, only three copies of this work have appeared at auction in the last 35 years.
