A Federal Mahogany Shelf Clock WORKS BY DAVID WOOD, NEWBURYPORT, MASSACHUSETTS, CIRCA 1800 the three baluster form finials set on reeded supports joined by foliate fretwork above the domed molded cornice and glazed door opening to a painted dial with Roman numeral hours and Arabic numeral minutes, signed David Wood/ Newburyport, the lower case fitted with a door flanked by reeded columnar pilasters, raised on splayed legs, further set on a later bracket. Height of clock 34 3/4 x width 12 1/8 x depth 6 1/8 inches.
