A Chinese Export Reverse Painted Glass Mirror
QIANLONG PERIOD (1735-1796)
of rectangular form, painted to the center with a lady seated on rockworks underneath a flowering peony tree with a bird perched atop, her right hand bearing a flower-filled basket and her left hand holding a staff, surrounded by various goats and pheasants, the background painted with a riverscape with houses and mountains, set within an European gilt wood frame.
