A Cinnabar Lacquer Tray of floriform with the center carved to show Xiwangmu seated on a phoenix with her attendants above clouds and waves, surrounded by mountains, pine trees and rockery, all set above a diaper ground, the border carved with keyfret motif and shaped panels enclosing lotus scrolls, raised on four short triangular form feet, the underside lacquered black and incised with a gilt highlighted Qianlong six-character mark.
