Two Carved Boxwood Netsuke 19TH CENTURY each depicting a recumbent shishi with all four tucked underneath, its head turned to the right with curly mane, the mouth wide open revealing the teeth, the bushy tail flicked upward, bearing a maker's mark to the underside. Length of larger 2 5/8 inches.
