Lot Description

A Faux Bois and Famille Rose Porcelain Vase LIKELY DAOGUANG PERIOD (1821-1850) the globular body rising to a tall cylindrical neck and a gilt mouth rim, painted with blooming peonies and flowering prunus trees issuing from rockery besides birds in flight, all picked out on a faux bois ground decorated with splashes of gold, the underside bearing a Daoguang six-character mark in underglaze blue and likely of the period. Height 7 1/2 inches.
