The Tea-Tax Tempest, or the Anglo American Revolution. [Nuremberg: Carl Guttenberg,] 1778.Engraving, image 330 x 432 mm (424 x 540 mm sheet). (Outer edges renewed on verso.) An adaptation, in reverse, of John Dixon's The Oracle of 1774. "Time, with a magic-lantern, throws upon a curtain an allegorical representation of revolution in Amerca. He points this out to four female figures personifying the four quarters of the world. Dixon's Britannia, Hibernia, and Scotia have been transformed into Europe, Asia, and Africa."
