Contemporary half brown calf, marbled boards, smooth spine, black morocco lettering-piece gilt (some light wear, discreet library label to spine.) An account of Prince Maximilian's expedition thorugh Brazil, which was the most profitable scientific expedition of the 19th-century, published in the same year as the first edition. Sabin 47021.
