A Cinnabar Lacquered Peach-Form Covered Box QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) intricately carved to the cover showing a central scholar standing underneath leafy trees, dressed in draped robes with both hands bearing bamboo sections, set in a mountain scene against a diaper ground, enclosed by five large wing bats further surrounded by fruiting pomegranates, peaches, Buddha's hand citron and entwined leafy vines, the base with similar decoration.
