A Chinese Embroidered Silk Coat 19TH CENTURY worked to the front showing a sinuous five-clawed dragon in profile above a pair of confronting dragons pursuing the flaming pearls amongst clusters of auspicious clouds and ribbon-tied Buddhist emblems, all above mountain peaks and precious objects emerging from foaming waves and multi-colored lishui strips, against a chestnut color ground, the cuffs embroidered with flying cranes and floral decoration on an ivory ground.
