Three Satsuma Incense Boxes and Covers each of circular form, painted in enamel and gilt, the first painted to the cover depicting various samurai figures on the riverbank, the interior of the cover and the box showing sages and attendants in various pursuits; the second decorated with shaped panels enclosing immortals, geisha and samurai; the third with several seated Buddha figures; all signed and raised on fitted hardwood stand.
