Lot Description
A Famille Rose Porcelain Bowl
MID-LATE 19TH CENTURY
of floriform raised on a spreading foot, the sides painted to depict playful monkeys and deer amongst pine trees, flowering branches, rockworks and lingzhi sprigs beneath birds in flight and the sun surrounded by clusters of clouds, all between a gilt highlighted mouth rim and a gilt border above the foot decorated with a keyfret band, the underside bearing an apocryphal six-character Chenghua iron red seal mark.
Height 3 1/2 inches, diameter 8 1/2 inches.
