A Platinum, Burmese Ruby and Diamond Ring, Circa 1910,
containing one round mixed cut ruby measuring approximately 7.25 x 6.80 x 3.58 mm and weighing approximately 1.30 carats, two old European cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.81 carats and 1.68 carats respectively, two trapezoid step cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.40 carat total, two bullet shape step cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.18 carat total, and six round single cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.03 carat total. Accompanied by an American Gemological Laboratories ruby identification and origin certificate number CS 1075965, dated June 16, 2016, stating Mineral Type: Natural Corundum, Variety: Ruby, Origin: Classic Burma (Myanmar), Enhancement: None, Clarity Enhancement: None.ADDITIONAL NOTE (to be included on page separate from cataloguing):Rare, exceptional examples of Burmese rubies exhibit a blend of red hue and strong saturation known as "pigeon's blood".
