the hinged lid with a foliate and C-scroll decorated handle, atop a tortoise shell and ebony case of casket form, the hinges marked for Jas. Sutton, London, 1780, opening to a velvet lined fitted interior with two silver liners engraved on all sides with floral swags, the sliding covers engraved with quartered shields.
