A Chinese Relief Carved Hardwood Chest 19TH CENTURY the rectangular hinged lid worked to show a shou medallion surrounded by fu bats, ancient coins and lingzhi, over a conforming case with a fall-front panel worked to show two dragons chasing a flaming pearl amongst ruyi clouds opening to reveal two long drawers surmounted by a shallow compartment accessed through the top, raised on a shaped archaistic scroll carved bracket foot.
