A Large Chinese Iron Bell
CHENGHUA PERIOD
cast with vertical and horizontal lines joined by circular plaques forming rectangular panels, surmounted by a double-dragon handle, having inscriptions reading Chenghua shi'er nian shi'er yue jiri li (made on an auspicious day in December in the twelfth year of Chenghua reign, corresponding to year 1477.)
Height 27 1/2 inches.
