An Enamel on Copper Snuff Bottle
18TH CENTURY, QIANLONG MARK
the flattened circular bottle raised on an oval foot ring, painted to one side with the famous scene Daiyu zang hua ('The Flower's Funeral' from the Chinese classic Hong Lou Meng ('Dream of the Red Chamber') depicting maiden Lin Daiyu bearing a basket and a hoe in the garden, the reverse depicting a similar garden setting with a maiden standing holding a floral spray in her hand, the base bearing a Qianlong four-character mark.
Height 2 3/8 inches.
