A Large Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Covered Jar
19TH CENTURY
of ovoid form with domed lift-off cover and lotus bud finial, the jar and cover with eight shaped panels, four depicting scholars and attendants in a landscape, two depicting auspicious symbols and two depicting fishermen in a mountainous landscape, all on an iron red lotus scroll ground interspersed with auspicious symbols, the base bearing a six-character Qianlong mark in iron red.
Height 17 3/4 inches.
