A Chinese Black Silk Robe
LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
embroidered to show 66 birds including phoenixes, pheasants, quails, hawks, mandarin ducks, magpies and cranes amongst floral blossoms and insects all over crashing waves, the borders decorated with a lingzhi inner band and an alternating insect and blossom band.
