A Blanc-de-Chine Porcelain Figure of Mile Buddha
LIKELY 19TH CENTURY OR EARLIER
depicted seated in a leisure posture, wearing draped robes opening to the chest, his right hand bearing a floral sprig while his left hand resting on his raised left knee, the face with a big laugh, having two elongated earlobes, the back of the figure impressed with a three-character He Chaozong maker's mark within a gourd-form panel, the figure set atop a later hardwood stand in the form of a luohan bed with three-panel railing above a narrow waist supported on three curved feet.
Height 6 1/8 inches.
