A Large Silk Kesi Panel
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
of rectangular form, finely woven to depict Daoist immortals and deities on a garden terrace with pine and peach trees issuing from rockery, the immortal Magu navigating her log raft in a river, with further groups of immortals standing along the shore bearing numerous gifts, all below the clouds with Xiwangmu and her attendants seated atop a phoenix, joining the immortal of longevity, Shoulao and the Eight Immortals with cranes in flight above.
