A Carved Inkstone of rectangular form, the upper section carved to show two dragons with their heads turned backwards looking at each other, flanking a flaming pearl of wisdom, underneath auspicious clouds, the lower section inscribed with calligraphy and a seal, the reverse with two characters yu zhen and a signature of Gao Shiqi (Chinese, 1645-1704). Height 11 1/8 x width 7 7/8 inches.
