A Pair of Cinnabar Lacquer Vases each of baluster form with broad shoulders, supported on a tall splayed foot and rising to a tall cylindrical neck and a flared mouth, the main panel carved to depict figures at various tasks within a continuous outdoor setting, the neck, the shoulders and the foot all decorated with floral and foliate motif against a diaper ground.
