A Cinnabar Lacquer Plaque the rectangular panel carved in relief depicting an outdoor setting showing a man with a child standing behind him, bowing to a scholar with his attendants, one attendant holding a large fan incised with characters reading shishi ruyi, suisui ping'an ("May everything goes as you wish and may you have peace all year round"), all below pine trees and willow trees with mountains in the background, all set on a diaper ground, mounted as a table screen placed in a hardwood stand, having openworked floral scroll decoration.
