A Qianjiang Enameled Porcelain Brush Pot
POSSIBLY REPUBLIC PERIOD
having a wide gilt decorated mouth rim slightly tapering to a circular base, the body painted to depict a riverscape scene having villages under trees emerging from rockery, high mountains in distance, figure crossing the bridge and men fishing on boats above water, inscriptions to the upper part followed by two red seals, the interior and the base glazed turquoise, bearing a four-character Qianlong iron red seal mark to the underside, raised on a fitted hardwood stand.
Height of pot 4 5/8 x diameter 5 3/8 inches.
