Lot Description
A Carved Pale Celadon Jade Plaque
of shaped form having lobed upper and lower edges, one side carved to depict a child standing atop a gourd beside a flying bat, holding a lotus leaf in his hands, the reverse with an inscription reading yuan shang han shan shi jing xia, bai yun sheng chu you ren jia, taken from the poem shan xing ("Mountain Trip"), written by Tang dynasty poet Du Mu.
Height 2 1/8 inches.
