Lot Description
Three Carved Jade Pendants
the first of an even white stone depicting a boy hauling a cart with a bat flying above on one side, the reverse with characters reading taiping cheng rui ("peace and tranquility revealing auspiciousness"), the headcrest and lower end having lobed lines; the second a celadon stone carved in low relief to the front showing a scholar and a maiden in a garden filled with pavilion and pine trees, the reverse with inscriptions and two seals, upper and lower ends decorated with ruyi clouds; the third a celadon stone of cartouche form, one side with a panel enclosing a child and bats emerging from a big jar with fu character, the other showing a child carrying a large rice stalk on his right shoulder.
