A French Transitional Style Gilt Metal Mounted Rosewood and Burl Walnut Vitrine, 19th century, in two parts, of demilune form, the upper section with a central glazed door opening to a shelved and felt-lined interior, flanked by two glazed panels above a foliate scroll inlaid drawer flanked by swing out drawers, the lower section with a slide writing surface above a similar configuration of drawers, raised on cabriole legs ending in sabots. Height 46 x width 31 1/2 x depth 14 1/2 inches.
