"THE RAREST AND PERHAPS MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE OF THIS BOOK" (Wesson's third edition, fifth state), containing Douglas's complaint letter to the publisher on 9 June 1860 objecting to how he was presented. This work was the first published edition of the debates between Lincoln and Douglas, conducted during their campaign for the U.S. Senate in 1858.
