Well-preserved and special hand-colored copy of this rare and important ABC book for children, by German artist Conrad Felixmuller and his wife, Londa.

Felixmuller (1897-1977) was trained at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, and very active during the Weimar Republic era of Germany. When the Nazis rose to power in 1933, many of his works were labeled as "degenerate art" and seized, making publications such as this, from his early career, increasingly scarce.
