Presentation copy, inscribed by the illustrator Garth Williams on verso of frontispiece to Maurice Sendak: "To Maurice--Garth 1957". Publisher's blue cloth, stamped in brown, boards unevenly faded; in original pictorial dust-jacket ($2.50 on front flap).
