Lot Description

American School 18th Century, "Ann Gibson 1792" Presentation Drawing, Dated "1800"

Inscribed, "Ann Gibson born the 25th June 1792," and signed, "By Philip Viguers," ink and watercolor on paper, tape and cardboard frame. Accompanied by a notebook bearing a hand-written list of "Girls names according to/ their Sizes," at Westtown School in 1806 hand-sewn with "Extracts for Ann Gibson/By the Girls at Westen School./ 3rd mo 19th 1807, " and Ann Gibson's food and medicinal recipe notebook. The lot also includes five small notebooks belonging to Thomas J. Paschall, including, "An Index to Common place Book," a "Nomenclature" book, a small account book from 1804, "Thomas J. Paschall/ Diary No 11.../Age 19 Years of Age 6 Mo/1806," and a diary from 1809.
