A Large Classical Silver Covered Sugar Dish, Baldwin Gardiner (1791-1868, active 1827-1848), New York, NY, Circa 1835
With cast and chased anthemion registers to rims, the body with engraved and repousse rose and rocaille motifs including reserves bordered by shell and c-scrolls, one reserve engraved with monogram, "BS," two leafage-form handles, the lid also with engraved motifs and pineapple-form finial, marked to underside.
