A Queen Anne inlaid and burl walnut veneered and inlaid tall case clock, works by John Sanderson, Wigton, England, early 18th century
With eight-day movement, the hood with stepped sarcophagus top, two giltwood finials, two fluted columns, and blind fret-carved frieze, the brass face with applied spandrels depicting turbaned masques, the dial engraved, “John Sanderson/ Meemento mori/ Wigton," the case with molded door, on molded base.
