A Matched Pair of French Wriggle-Work Engraved Pewter Chargers, by M. Chocquell, Bergues, France, Circa 1750

Engraved with meandering floral vine and birds to rim, one rim with heart, the other with floral basket, the wells both engraved with floral urns flanked by two birds, and monogram, "MVV," each marked with pseudo silver hallmark to rim including maker's initials, "MC," and marked twice to underside with partially rubbed crowned rose mark and armorial crest mark.
