Depicting a scholar seated in a pavilion conversing under trees, overlooking a lake and misty mountains in the distance, all finely worked in polychrome enamels, hardwood frame and stand.
屏心飾藍天彎月，青山疊翠，樹木蔥郁，山澗飛流直下，江渚房舍幾間，掩映在蒼松紅葉之間，敞軒中雅士憑窗坐讀。左上角有梁國治（乾隆十三年狀元，內閣大學士）隸書御制五言律詩《秋林書屋》：結屋喬林下，虛檐古帙披。翻篇風代手，照字月當眉，或是歐陽賦，不然宋玉詞。清光入颯影，故與弄參差。
