A Japanese Mixed-Metal Inlaid Shakudo Incense Burner, Late Meiji Period
日本明治時代晚期 赤銅三足香爐
Late Meiji Period (Early 20th Century)

The hemispherical body raised on a spreading foot and further three blade-like legs, decorated to the front with a cockerel, a hen, and two chicks, the reverse showing a figure underneath a half-open umbrella, mounted to the shoulder with a pair of foliate-shaped handles, the domed cover inlaid with silver showing flower heads, topped by a floral-form finial.
Height 6 1/2 in., 16.5 cm.
