Uttarakhand, Almora, 10th-11th Century
Seated on his crouching bull in a graceful posture, plays the long vina with his two principal hands. His second right hand holds a rosary and a bunch of lotuses, and his left hand grasps the shaft of the trident. Only his right ear wears an earring.
Height 15 5/8 x width 9 1/4 x depth 4 in., 39.5 x 23.5 x 10.2 cm.
