BARAKA, Amiri (1934-2014). Later Trane. The Razor Series No. 1. Candia, NH: John LeBow, 2003. 8vo (8 1/2 x 5 3/8 in.), 10pp. A "Special Lettered Edition"...with text and original artwork by the author, identified on the last page as copy "I." Signed by the author. Housed in a specially made folder with a CD of Baraka reading Later Trane and a copy photograph of John and Alice Coltrane.

Best known for his poetry, Amiri Baraka's (also known as LeRoi Jones, Imamu Amear Baraka, and other variations) career spanned over five decades and explored themes of racism and black liberation, with his visual arts published in some of his books.

An important Black Arts anthology featuring contributions from some of its notable participants including Amiri Baraka, Larry Neal, Sonia Sanchez, Askia Muhammad Toure, Don Lee, Ed Bullins, Joe Goncalves, Etheridge Knight, Carolyn Rodgers, Marvin X, Nikki Giovanni, Milford Graves, Larry Miller, and many others. Poetry, plays, artwork, interviews, essays, fiction, photographs are included. Featuring an introduction by the esteemed South African poet Keorapetse Kgositsile.
