[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 11 photographic advertising imprints & puzzles, incl. E.&H.T. Anthony cover.
3 3/8 x 5 5/8 in. used cover, with promotional details for "E. & H.T. Anthony & Co., No. 591 Broadway, New York" printed at top. An illustration of a camera is featured at top left, partially surrounded by "Dallmeyer Lenses, Bowdish Chairs," and "Success Cameras," with additional highlights listed below. Reverse side with promotion for "Anthony's Photographic Bulletin for 1877, $2.00." With 3 cent stamp and New York cancellation (left edge trimmed, partially impacting text, some soiling to cover). -- 5 printed billheads for photographic goods companies including E. & H.T. Anthony (New York, 1888), A.D. Fisk Photographic Goods (New York, 1891), Knaffl & Bro. (Knoxville, TN, 190?), Fred A. Sautter (Brooklyn, NY, 1897), S.V. Courtney (Canton, OH, 1891). Each with manuscript notations (chipping and wear to edges). -- Small flipbook, approx. 8 1/2 x 1 1/2 in., comprised of series of 1 1/4 x 1 1/2 scenes of a man climbing and fall off of a ladder, with "Demandez Partout Le Cinematographe Jouet" featured in each scene (light soiling). -- 2 lithographed puzzles, 5 3/4 x 7 3/8 in., or smaller. The first, an untitled scene of a photographer with a dark cloth over his head, in the act of taking an image of a large family (edge wear, appears to be missing accompanying pieces). The second, captioned "Dangers de la Photographie," shows a photographer with his camera and a dark cloth over his head at far left, with various men standing behind him, who appear to be going after him (some soiling and surface wear, edge and corner loss, missing accompanying pieces). -- Das Kleine Witzblatt. 1903. No. 21. 7 3/4 x 5 in. illustrated magazine, the front cover featuring a woman posed before a camera that is visible at far left. The back cover depicts a group of four women, each holding a small box camera (toning, edge and corner wear to wrappers and some interior pages). -- Modern, promotional pamphlet issued by Griffith-Stillings Press, Boston, MA, with illustration of a child on the front cover holding a camera.
