[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 11 daguerreotypes of men, some with objects, incl. example by MEADE BROS., NY.

Sixth plate portrait of an older gentleman framing an unknown book with his hands. (Tarnishing, spotting, assorted other imperfections; original seals.) Housed in a pressed paper case with velvet pad stamped for "Meade Bro's 233 Broadway N.Y." (heavy loss throughout). -- Sixth plate seated portrait of a distinguished gentleman with curled hair, mustache and beard, posing leaned against a table upon which his wheel or mechanic's cap rests, possibly related to his occupation. (Rather crisp image, but with somewhat light contrast in areas.) Housed in a half leatherette case (surface loss). -- Sixth plate seated image of an older gentleman holding a pair of eyeglasses in one hand, one stem of which is clearly visible against his lapel. (Tarnishing to edges, occasional spots, few other imperfections; unsealed.) Housed in a half leatherette case (surface wear). -- And 8 others.
