Lot comprised of 30+ buttons, including excavated examples, ranging in size from approx. 1/2 in. to 1 in. diameter, dating from the War of 1812-era and later.

Many buttons are accompanied by modern tags furnished by the consignor, with no further provenance accompanying the lot. Highlighted buttons include: US Navy with eagle and anchor. -- 3rd Regiment Infantry. -- War of 1812 British Navy. -- British artillery, ca 1780s. -- War of 1812 script with 5-pointed star. -- Riflemen Regiment. -- War of 1812 British Navy. -- Rifleman Militia. -- Patriotic liberty bell. -- Eagle with 16 stars. -- Royal Navy button. -- War of 1812 1st Light Artillery. -- US Marines. -- 2 excavated buttons from Ft. Wayne, Indian Territory, mounted and framed together with a modern image of Cherokee Chief Major Ridge and description about the Cherokee Trail of Tears.
