This appears to be a second edition "extra" distributed late in the afternoon of 10 April 1865 as coverage of Lee's surrender came in. The Daily Evening Express had published an earlier 10 April issue (4pp. in length), which did not include news of Lee's surrender; however, later in the afternoon a new front page was issued that contained the "breaking news" headlines of Lee's surrender. That late issue was attached to the earlier 4pp. issue.
