Lot comprised of 15 illustrated covers, each approx. 3 x 5 3/4 in. or smaller. Highlights include:

Jolly Roger flag inscribed, "J.D. His Marque." -- Woman gathering items from a dresser, captioned "I have no one to send - I'll go myself, and nurse the sick." -- "Vigorous Prosecution of the War and No Compromise under the Guns of Rebels," surrounded by patriotic motifs. -- Confederate First National flag with 7 stars, "Jefferson Davis" and "Alexander H. Stevens" inscribed on the red stripes. -- "Soldier's Portable Camp Writing Case," featuring a soldier writing a letter at camp, with an illustration of the writing case below. Boston: J.M. Whittemore. -- A woman baking in a kitchen, captioned "If I cannot fight, I can feed those who do." -- A view of an eagle perched atop the United States, holding an American flag, captioned "Wrapt in its folds Our Whole Country shines resplendent through its Stars."
