[CIVIL WAR] 3 items, incl. Benjamin Butler signature and works feat. Lincoln, Grant, & Washington. 


"Triumviri Americani." Pennsylvania: William Miller, 1869. 2 1/2 x 2 3/8 in. albumen print of the plaster model for the "Triumviri Americani" bronze plaque featuring Washington, Lincoln and Grant in profile, front affixed to glass and displayed in a wooden frame, 8 3/8 x 8 3/8 in. With imprint on verso of albumen including the following information, "Patented June 29, 1869, and entered according to Act of Congress, Sept. 1, 1869, in the U. States Court eastern dist. of Penna., by William Miller. Address, 'Triumviri Americani' P.O. Box 108, Washington, DC."

[With:] BUTLER, Benjamin (1818-1893), major general of the Union Army, politician, lawyer, and businessman from Massachusetts. Clipped signature, "Yours truly, Benj. F. Butler," approx. 2 1/4 x 4 in., matted and framed together with an engraving of Butler and other officers by H.B. Hall, after a drawing by Thomas Nast. Overall, 17 1/2 x 11 1/2 in. -- Metal bust profile view of Abraham Lincoln mounted on a wood plaque, approx. 12 1/2 x 9 in. Ca 20th century.
