He holds his Enfield rifle musket by the barrel to one side. (Chemical deterioration around edges, spotting and other imperfections to plate; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case.

It has been suggested that the jacket featured here is of Illinois statehood, though that cannot be confirmed.
