Lot Description

A Classical Painted and Vinegar Grained Standing Desk
Possibly Kentucky, Circa 1845

The slant top lid opens to a fitted interior above two drawers and single door opening to shelves, the underside of lid retains calendars from 1858 and 1859, and partial newsprint publication of An Act to Punish Offences Against Slave Property Passed by the Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Kansas, August 14, 1855. 
Height 53 x width 44 x depth 19 1/2 inches.
