Williams is mentioned in the 1964 bill, To Authorize the Secretary of the Interior to Designate the Nez Perce National Historical Park

Mr. Ralph Williams of Gifford, Idaho... should have his name in the record as he has the largest, and most historic collection of Indian artifacts in the whole Nez Perce country, including the Indians. Mr. Williams farms in the Gifford, Idaho area and has made a life's study of the Nez Perce people, and he talked of making available to the possible museums at Spalding some of these rare and beautiful parcels of Indian history. (Nez Perce National Park, Idaho: Hearings, Eighty-eighth Congress: 1964:93).
