Three Chinese Metal Garment Hooks, Warring State Period-Han Dynasty

Warring States Period-Han Dynasty (475 BC-220 AD)
The first is a gold inlaid copper alloy example with a wide, axe-head form panel inlaid with gold geometric designs, below a raised taotie mask connecting to a short shaft decorated with further gold inlays, terminating in a dragon head-form hook, the underside cast with a round button; a parcel-gilt silver ‘chimera’ garment hook, the front panel in the shape of a pair of wings chased with geometric designs, surmounted by a short and flat shaft and a beast-head form hook, the reverse with a large round button; a small silvered metal example with a chilong-head hook, the reverse with a round button.
