8vo. Original cloth-backed boards decorated in blind, spine gilt-lettered, top edge stained red (slight fading to top edge, a touch of soiling to sheet edges); dust jacket (very slight chipping). 

FIRST EDITION OF TYLER'S FIRST NOVEL.

Original cloth-backed boards decorated in blind, spine gilt-lettered, top edge stained yellow (slight fading to top edge); in unclipped unrestored dust jacket (some light toning, slight chipping with a few short tears). Provenance: Ken Hubner (inscription from Anne Tyler on the title-page).

FIRST EDITION. INSCRIBED BY TYLER: "For Ken Hubner, with best wishes, Anne Tyler." The Tin Can Tree, Tyler's scarce second novel, follows the Pike family as they mourn the accidental death of their six-year-old daughter.
